The A-frame consists of two sidewalls—about 9 feet long and 3 feet wide—attached at one end and standing upright in an A position. For safety reasons, the dog must touch the contacts (the areas at either end of the A-frame that are painted in a different color), both on the way up (in USDAA only) and on the way down.
