The dog walk consists of an up-plank, a cross-plank, and a down-plank. Each plank is approximately 12 feet long and 9 to 12 inches wide. The cross-plank is about 48 to 54 inches high. For safety reasons, the dog must touch the contacts (the areas at either end of the dog walk that are painted in a different color), both on the way up (in USDAA only) and on the way down.
